Some of the worst tales are hidden behind an impressive career. Lolo, who won the USA and World championships in hurdle events in 2013, has only achieved this feat with a lot of effort and tremendous patience. Jones was the only child of a five-child family who lived in extreme poverty. Her mother was always moving and she even was a resident at the bottom of her home. This nomadic life led Jones to switch to the same school each year until the time she entered the high school. At Theodore Roosevelt High School Jones lived apart from her mother to pursue her passion for athletics. Jones stayed in four residences during her high school period to be able to complete her studies in one place. Jones also played cello in the orchestra at school.
